Whey Protein With Extra Leucine For Increased Performance

by admin_admin_1 on April 24, 2011

A group of international researchers have conducted a short study on a group of cyclists that performed 10 cycles of 6 second maximal effort sprints. One group was given a placebo drink and another whey protein isolate, 5g leucine and 50g carbohydrate before exercise. The latter was able to recover up to 48% faster then the placebo group and also showed increased protein synthesis.
