CQ10

Co enzyme Q10 (ubiquinone) is a vitamin like substance found in almost all of the tissues of the body. It’s main function to facilitate the release of energy from ATP in the mitochondria (energy producing units) of the cell, and over ninety percent of all energy conversion in the body occurs with the aid of Q10. This vital enzyme also aids in many other physiological processes and sufficient levels are vital for proper functioning of the body. Its presence is particularly important in organs, which require a high level of energy to function such as the heart, lungs, liver, spleen, pancreas, kidneys and adrenal glands. Deficiency in Q10 has been strongly linked to an increase in the likelihood of disease of these organs, and likewise the supplementation of Q10 has been linked to improvements in the same conditions.

Also a highly potent antioxidant, Q10 has many benefits other than aiding energy production. It has been shown in trials to relieve symptoms of migraine, reduce hypertension, help in weight reduction in the obese (Q10 has been shown to help the body metabolise stored fat in the obese but not in the non obese. Suggested Dosage
