Dextrose Powder

Dextrose is a simple carbohydrate with a high glycemic index (GI). It needs little digestion and so is ideal for replenishing liver and muscle glycogen post workout. Cortisol levels rise during a workout as the body tries to provide glucose for energy, but this catabolic hormone can be quickly reduced post workout by consuming dextrose as it provides both the energy source required and stimulates a strong insulin release. Lowering cortisol and rising insulin post workout provides an anabolic environment.
